Virtual Tour of a Domestic Violence Shelter
Take a virtual tour of a domestic violence shelter. Hear the voices of women who have sought shelter with Safe Horizon, see pictures of the inside of a shelter, and find answers to the questions battered women entering a shelter might ask. Go beyond the shelter and learn more about domestic violence issues, including teen relationship abuse, effect of domestic violence on children, welfare reform and immigration. Also includes links to resources throughout the world.

Women With Courage
A group of women who have been victims of domestic violence and who are working together to help stop domestic violence in our society today. Our goal is to help people who are suffering from domestic violence build themselves up to make the necessary changes in their lives.

Domestic Violence Survival Kit
Tells victims what they can do if threatened or hurt by a spouse or partner. The kit is a self-help guide that explains legal rights and how to get help from the legal system; contains safety planning ideas; and offers hotline referral numbers.

The Domestic Violence Project of Silicon Valley
Features a multitude of info and resources for survivors and care providers of domestic violence.

Multnomah County Domestic Violence Coordinator

Statewide California Coalition for Battered Women (SCCBW)
A coalition of advocates and agencies throughout California dedicated to stopping domestic violence. Throughout our history, from our founding in 1976 as the Southern California Coalition for Battered Women, SCCBW has been at the forefront in efforts to provide policy advocacy for victims of domestic violence at the local, regional and state levels and as a source of training, information, referrals, resources and support for victim service providers

The Family Violence Prevention Fund
Working to prevent violence within the home, and in the community, to help those whose lives are devastated by violence because everyone has the right to live free of violence.

The National Latino Alliance for the Elimination of Domestic Violence (Alianza)
A group of nationally recognized Latina and Latino advocates, community activists, practitioners, researchers, and survivors of domestic violence working together to promote understanding, sustain dialogue, and generate solutions to move toward the elimination of domestic violence affecting Latino communities, with an understanding of the sacredness of all relations and communities.

Survivors Take Action Against Abuse by Military Personnel (STAMP)

A national advocacy group for victims of abuse committed by members of the military. STAMP provides resources and support for victims of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault, child abuse, gay bashing, sexual harassment and more. The site also contains information and resources for victims of military abuse, including the STAMP hotline number (866/879-2568 or 937/879-2568) and information on victims’ support groups and legal options for victims of abuse.

LAMDA
A nonprofit, Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender agency dedicated to reducing homophobia, inequality, hate crimes and discrimination, by encouraging self-acceptance, cooperation and non-violence. This site features statistics and information on domestic violence in gay relationships.

NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund
Pursues equality for women and girls in the workplace, the schools, the family and the courts, through litigation, education, and public information programs.

The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN)
The nation's largest anti-sexual assault organization. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1.800.656.HOPE and carries out programs to prevent sexual assault, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice. Women's Law Initiative (WLI)
Provide easy-to-understand legal information and resources to women living with or escaping domestic violence. By reaching out through the internet, we empower women and girls to lead independent and productive lives, free from abuse.

The White Ribbon Campaign
Dedicated to encouraging men and boys to get involved in helping to end violence against women. The site provides an online version of their newsletter and educational materials, including information about what men can do to stop violence against women and The Education & Action Kit, which is designed to introduce students and teachers to a range of issues that surround the problem of violence against women and explain how men and boys can take action on this issue.

Dads and Daughters
The national education and advocacy nonprofit for fathers and daughters. DADs provides tools to strengthen father-daughter relationships and transform pervasive cultural messages that value daughters more for how they look than who they are.
